I was really pleasantly surprised that the awesome work of the filmmakers.  It may be sterotypical but I totally expected a bunch of “hood”, tragic melodrama….but what I saw instead were great films with a lot of heart…hope…and love.

The films shown were: And then…Home! by Sheldon Allen (very powerful, well done!), Jesus’ Secretary by Norris Young (great concept!), Locks by Ryan Coogler (Amazing twist, sooo much heart!), Premature by Rashaad Ernesto Green (really powerful, could barely handle it!), Hug by Khary Jones (Black on Black Love, doesn’t get much better than that!),  Popous Pane by Derrick Anthony (So relevant, So healing!), Jacob by Philip Busier (amazing film esp for your 1st, great job!).  Also big props to Ralph Scott for putting together this great event.

Also! Big ups to Rashaad Green and Philip Busier for having trailers of their films on-line so I could link them above! To the other men…whatchall waitin’ on!!! LOL!

Blessings to the filmmakers I’m sure they’ll be doing Big things in the future!

Of course, it’s also possible that I am have not, lol. But I prefer to stick w/ the first premise. This has been the most amazing week. I used to think that Dickens was a lunatic when he wrote “It was the best of times – it was the worst of times”.  I just didn’t understand how that could be. But yes…it be, lol (sf*).  The beautiful thing is that God is so great that he allows us to reflect and see that the Good almost always outweighs the bad.  And that fact, that throughout my life – no matter how hard things have been – the good always outweighed the bad, is sooo humbling to me. I’m amazed at His love and provision. And I am grateful.

Now..convergence…  my short film project is going so really well.  We have a great dp Drew Mac, wonderful actress Jolene Kim, amazing director Michelle Lynne Coons and awesome editor Earl Crowe.  We will be shooting over the weekend and will have it up for your viewing pleasure by THURSDAY! Send some prayers up for us cause it’s bout to be a crazzzzy week!

I’m happy to report that after my short but rather involved agent search I have settled on one that I’m really pleased with. I’m now represented Theatrically by the fine folks at  The Glick Agency.  I think they will make a wonderful addition to my team and am thrilled to have Steve and Barbara on board.

As for the bad stuff this week….who cares! I’m gonna focus on the great things and keep Living My Life Like it’s Golden :)

UPDATE!!!!

Finished the short film project and we WON THE COMPETITION!!  Thought I’d post them here so you guys can check em out! We actually had to do 2 short films…theme had to be “life & death”….and it had to get done in 2 weeks!  I wrote the one on Life and my partner Jolene Kim wrote the one of death.  For 1st time filmmakers I think we did a great job…if I do say so myself, LOL.  Here they are for you viewing pleasure:

Today is Wednesday August 8, 2009. Life is complicated and hard and amazing :) I’m producing my first short film and God is truly blessing it.  I am close to signing with a new agent which is great. My family is doing well which is awesome.

I’m trying to be a good little marketing girl so I’m on twitter, facebook and now I’ve started the blog. Anyone who knows me knows that there is no way I will keep all of these going. It will be interesting to see which one falls to the waste side first, lol.  Place ur bets!
